Foiled Santa

This is a real easy technique and it makes a really nice card. What you do is cover a piece of cs with alumimun foil and place it the a cb impression folder. You keep the foil wrapped around the cs so that it doesn't get wrinkled. Affix the foil and cs onto another piece of cs and complete your card. Viola!

I think the foil makes this card look clean and crisp.

Ink: Jet Black StazOn

Hope you enjoy making them as well. Thanks Cathrine!

Jolly Ol' Saint Nick

I made these cards for a swap. Not too happy with them, but unfortunately, time was running out and I didn't have a choice. In case you are wondering, the beard is not liquid applicaque. It is equal parts of salt and flour with a tiny bit of water. I added white craft ink to make the color white, but it didn't make much of a change.

Stamp - Jolliest Time of the Year
Ink - Jet Black StazOn
Paper - Real Red, Going Grey, and Whispher White
Accessories - Dazzling Diamonds and Crystal Effects, Stampin' Up! Bigz Dies Top Note, SU Watercoloring Pencils and Blending Pens

Autumn Days

I purchased this stamp set Autumn Days with my father in mind. My Dad is a hunter and I just had to purchase it. I hope I did the Pheasants justice!!

The 1st card is my attempt at using the brayer. Not the best job, but it will due. Paper - SU Textured Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. Inks More Mustard, Tango Tangerine and Chocolate Chip. I colored in the Pheasant as best as I could recall. It's been a long time since I've seen this bird up close.

The 2nd card I sponged and used the masking technique. Paper - SU Rich Razzleberry, Razzleberry Lemonade, Whisper White. Inks - So Saffron, Tango Tangerine, Rich Razzleberry. First I stamped my bird image and then covered it and sponged the background, then stamped the wheat. Again, I hope I did the Pheasant justice. I'll have to ask my Dad.

Gift Bags

Sorry this isn't a better picture. I cut off the handle of a gift bag. These are the gift bags we made at our Gift Bag Class. However, we didn't finish. We were so busy chatting, that we ran out of time to decorate our ready made bags. The larger bag in the back was made with two full sheets of paper. The smaller bags were made with one sheet. We will comtinue our Gift Bags after out technique class on Tuesday.

I'm Back!

It's been a while, I know. Getting my kids ready for school. They are ready, I am not. My son just turned 3 two weeks ago and I am sending him to Pre-K. I don't know if he is anxious, but I am. Anyway, here are a few things I through together for upcoming classes. The bags are for the Giftbag class. The larger bag is a pre-fab bag that I decorated, the smaller one is one I made. In this class, you will design 2 pre-fab bags and make 2 bags.
