Just a hello!!

Hello Fellow Stampers,

I am taking a little breather. It's a little tough this week to get anything done when I have a 4yr. old and a 2 yr old running around the house with all their new toys from Santa. I am starving to get creative, so you may see something in a couple of day. Please check back!

Christmas Trees

My group got together last night and these are the trees we made. I think they all came out great. I think I am going to make a few more and give them as gifts. They don't even have to be for Christmas, they can be year round decoration.

Supplies: Styrofoam Cone (height, up to you), Paper: 3-4 12"x12" double sided paper
Quilting Pins,Scallop Punch - 8 scallop punches make the tree topper

Cut your paper into 4"x1" or 6" x 1" whichever you prefer. Start at the bottom and work up. Overlapping your strips.

I thought that this Christmas Tree project would be a great workshop. It's fairly easy, just get a styrofoam cone, 3-4 pages of Designer Series Paper, Quilting Pins.

What a great gift idea as well.

This particular is cased, but I can't remember from where. Mine is in the process. You will see it real soon.

Altered Mini Composition Notebook

I think that this is an adorable idea for a gift for a babysitter (young girl) bus driver, crossing guard or just about anyone or a little something for yourself. I purchased these mini composition notebooks at Staples. I used Riding Hood Red, Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock, the Stamp Set is Bella's Bloom, the ribbon is Taffeta Riding Hood Red. The paper for the pen is Bella Rose DSP and the pen is a Pentel RSVP.

I hope you this it is as adorable as I do!

Fall/Thanksgiving

Mini Pumpkins, Large Pumpkins/Gourds and Blessing Mix Box. The Box is filled with little goodies along with a poem.
~Blessing Mix~

The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.

The Pretzels represent arms folded in thanks and prayer.

The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day because food was scarce.

The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration of the harvest.

The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous harvest for the next season if they are planted and well tended to.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Little Goodie Bag

I cased this from SCS. I'm sorry, but I don't recall the person's name. Anyway, I think that this is just adorable. With Halloween coming it is great for a Halloween party, you can change up your paper for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanakua, anything!

I hope you find it as cute as I do.

Mini Backpack with Note Cards and Pen

I decided that to make this a cuter project, I would include both matching note cards and a pen. I am going to give this one to my daughter's teacher for a great first week of school.

I hope you think it's as cute as I do.

Mini Backpack

I made this Backpack for my daughters teacher. I am going to make some matching notecards and a pen. I thought that may be more useful for a teacher. I saw the pattern for the backpack on SCS. I can't remember who's idea it was, but I just think it is the cutest.

Pumpkins for Fall

I made these Pumpkins the other day. I need to tweek the larger pumpkin a little bit, but I think the two little pumpkins came out really cute. I think I will try again today.

I'm a little sad, my baby girl started her first day of Pre-K and I didn't think I would be this sad to see her drive away on the school bus.

Window Dressing

First, I apologize for the quality of the pictures. My camera battery is dying and I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to post. I really need to work with the stamp set a little more. I just love it though. I think this is going to be one of my special sets. In other words, you will probably get tired of seeing it.

Faux Seersucker

This is just a great technique using your crimper. Just stamp you images first, then slide your paper into the crimper and turn the paper around and slide it through again. You just created Faux Gingham!!

Hawaiian Punch

On August 15, 196? my husband Rich was born and on August 15, 2006 my son Wes was born. We are celebrating their birthday in a Hawaiian/Laua Theme. I'm a very big theme person for parties. There is the excuss to get creative again. Above is the invitation to the Party. The Goodie Bags are for the kiddies. Anyway, these Hula Girls are made with Circle Punches 1-1/4 and 1-3/4" and of course a flower punch.

Aren't they adorable!
